The City of Avalon is the only incorporated city on Catalina Island, and provides typical municipal services to residents and visitors.  The city is governed by a city council consisting of a mayor and four council members, all elected at large.  The mayor is elected for a 2-year term, and council members are elected for a 4-year term.  City Hall is located at 410 Avalon Canyon Rd.  P.O.
