Catalina Tours: Ocean Explorer Package. This three day, two night package allows you to explore and learn about our Ocean Environment. This package is available mid week or on the weekend. Ocean Explorer Package ends on September 30, 2013. Check out this fun itinerary for your package:
Day One: Spend the first day of your package exploring the Long Beach Aquarium. You will experience fish, shark, otter and other critters that call the Pacific Ocean home. You will be able to add many different tour options offered by the Aquarium (not included in package) once you are there. You will then board the Catalina Express boat for Catalina Island at 5:45 pm from the Downtown Landing Terminal. Relax and enjoy the ride.
Day Two: After your continental breakfast you will enjoy one of the three activities listed below. You will decide on which one when you order your package. You can explore the City of Avalon on your two hour Electric Bike rental. We will provide a map, helmet and bottle of drinking water for your bike rental*. Or you can choose to explore our Marine Preserve on a guided snorkel tour. Your instructor will show you how to use your equipment and explain the underwater sea life you encounter as you snorkel through the Cove. After the tour you can keep your equipment for an additional hour, if you wish to continue exploring. You can also choose a semi submersible boat trip to our Marine Preserve if you do not want to get in the water, but still want to enjoy our Marine Preserve at Lovers Cove.
Day Three: After your continental breakfast, you will check in with your Captain for a Dolphin and Sea Lion Boat Excursion. This excursion will explore the coastline, seal rocks and search for resident pods of Dolphin. The rest of the day is open to experience Avalon or for other tours. At 6:00 pm it is back to Long Beach on the Catalina Express.
