1st Annual Zombie Walk
First Annual Catalina Zombie Walk on Halloween Night
The First Annual Catalina Zombie Walk will take place in Avalon on Halloween Night, Octoer 31st at 5pm. Zombie Walks are quickly becoming the hottest new trend following the current Flash Mob scene.
On Halloween night, Zombies will crawl through Avalon as the night of the living dead come to life. These walking flesh and brain eaters, will convene at 5 PM, after the children's Halloween Parade starting at 4 PM, on the street level of the Landing and walk/crawl along the main street to the other end of town on the evening of October 31st. The community is encouraged to join the walk with their most horrific Zombie costume.
A makeup artist will be at the Landing at 4 PM to assist with makeup but Zombies must come with their own makeup. Raspberry flavored blood will be provided by the sponsor. After the walk, a haunted movie will be shown at South Beach accompanied with food booths benefiting various local children’s organizations.
This event is free and sponsored by Ghost Tours of Catalina in benefit and association of numerous kid organizations throughout Avalon. For additional information call 310-502-8669.
A Catalina Island fisherman invented the first glass-bottom boat tours in 1896.
