Now there is a new way to explore Avalon. Part game, part city walking tour, Urban Adventure Quest is an interactive adventure that navigates teams through Avalon. All guided from any smart phone or an iPad with Internet capabilities, groups solve clues and complete challenges, while seeing sights and learning local history. Whether a long-time local or a visitor in town for just a few days, Urban Adventure Quest is a fun new way to experience Avalon.

Urban Adventure Quest is different from other scavenger hunt tours in one critical way. All route directions, hints and game information are provided to participants through the use of their smart phone. The Company’s Web-based software guides teams during their Quest, while keeping track of points and time. Once a Quest is purchased, participants can play on their own schedule and at their own pace. The tour is purchased online for one low price for the entire group, regardless of the number of people, and lasts about 3.5 hours. Best group size is 4 to 5 people.

There are two different options for tours in Avalon. One is a walking tour and the second Quest involves the use of a golf cart to transport players up to the Wrigley Memorial and the hotel Zane Grey in addition to some walking as well. The Avalon walking Quest starts at the Pleasure Pier in the heart of downtown Avalon. As players solve clues and complete puzzles, the game takes them to famous Catalina locations including El Encanto, the Tuna Club, the Casino, a house made of ships and the statue of “Old Ben,” revealing local history and interesting facts along the way.
