Taste Around of Avalon - June 3

Dine on a 21 Course Moveable Feast at the 6th Annual Taste Around of Avalon

AVALON, Catalina Island — Hungry?  You’re invited to a 21 course meal on the evening of June 3rd on Catalina Island’s annual Taste Around of Avalon.  It’s a chance to explore Avalon’s finest eateries and taste their most delectable menu items – all in one night! The event is the kick off to the fun-filled Flying Fish Festival and the moveable feast takes place in downtown Avalon on Thursday evening, June 3rd, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

Twenty-one eating and drinking establishments will be offering dishes, appetizers, beverage and/or dessert “tastes” for $1 per taste.  Guests can simply pick up a voting card for $1 at the Visitor Center, if purchased before the event, or $2 at the start of the event at 5:00pm on Wrigley Stage, visit each establishment, sample the dishes and/or drink entries, then vote for your favorite taste of food, drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and dessert. 

The establishment with the most votes for Best Taste of Food, Best Taste of Dessert and Best Taste of Drink at the end of the evening will win $100 each.  As an extra bonus for the participants, turn in your voting card with 10 or more validations from establishments and enter the drawing for a chance to win a $25 Catalina Island gift certificate.
