Museum Offers New Walking Tour
AVALON, CA – Curious about the fire of 1915, the Hotel St. Catherine or the old steamer pier? You’ll learn all about these events and landmarks and much more on the new Catalina Island Museum History Walk. The Museum’s new tour includes many early images of Avalon so walkers will be able to see Avalon’s evolution into a world renowned tourist destination through new eyes.
Trained staff and docents will lead groups on a relaxed and informative 75-minute walking tour through Avalon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays at 11 a.m. Tours start at the Museum and reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 310-510-2414 ext. 1#. The tour price includes admission to the Museum ($10/general pricing or $8 museum members and children). All proceeds from the tours support their mission to collect, preserve and share the island’s cultural heritage.

The museum is located on the ground floor of the historic Casino Building and is open to the public daily, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
