Pennywise Package for a Pound of Luxury, Just a Stone’s Throw From the Beach

For those who have visited the elegant Hotel Villa Portofino or are yet unfamiliar with this much-touted “paradiso” hotel, it offers a new package modestly priced for the value conscious.  Available year round, with prices varying according to season, midweek rates are $171.50 per person, double occupancy, for a standard Courtyard Queen. 

Beginning January 2010, the midweek price is $115.50 per person, double occupancy. Room upgrades and extra nights are available for an additional cost. 

Besides the well-appointed standard guestroom, this package includes round-trip boat transportation aboard Catalina Express from San Pedro, Long Beach, or Dana Point (Dana Point departures are an extra $2.00 per person), and round trip taxi vouchers from/to the boat dock.  The package also includes Continental breakfast, daily.
