Free Admission to Museum on National Museum Day

Celebrate National Museum Day at the Catalina Island Museum, September 24th

In observance of National Museum Day on Saturday, September 24th, take advantage of FREE admission to the Catalina Island Museum for the entire day. Museum Day offers the opportunity to explore what might be an unfamiliar museum and uncover its unseen treasures. Or, tour your favorite museum to see its latest exhibitions, all at no cost.

"We encourage all Catalina Island residents and visitors to participate in our National Museum Day celebration," said Devin Thompson, Director of Development and Membership. "In the last 7 months, the museum’s membership has grown exponentially and we are confident Museum Day will help us reach our goal of 1000 members."

The Catalina Island Museum is Avalon’s sole institution devoted to art, culture and the rich history of Santa Catalina Island. It is located on the ground floor of Avalon’s historic Casino, and is open 7 days a week, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  For more information about the museum and the privileges of membership, the museum may be reached by phone at 310-510-2414 or at its website: CatalinaMuseum.org.
